Ubuntu 9.04 and Amarok 2: Install Amarok 1.4 back

Last week I updated my Ubuntu to version 9.04, the last stable one. I was used to using my favorite Amarok music player. What a hell surprise waited for me when Amarok 2 was opened. It was completly unstable and addtionaly the biggest issue. I had no sound. This forced me to browse INTERNET for while and I got luck. Here is the nice solution. Just downgrade to previous version Amarok 1.4. It seems like similar story with WindowsXP 🙂 and Vista. To install Amarok 1.4 on Ubuntu 9.04 you should use the following instructions…

1. echo -e "\n## amarok 1.4 \ndeb http://ppa.launchpad.net/surfed/ppa/ubuntu jaunty main" | sudo tee -a /etc/apt/sources.list
2. sudo apt-get update
3. sudo apt-get install amarok14

Thanks to Victor …
