2nd European Java conference

May 12-14, 2010, Poznan, Poland

Dear Colleagues,

you are cordially invited to submit a lecture proposal to the 2nd
European Java conference GeeCON 2010 to be held on May 12-14 2010 in
Poznan, Poland.

GeeCON is a conference that will focus on Java and Java Virtual Machine
based technologies, with special attention to dynamic languages such as
Groovy and Ruby. The goal is to become a forum for sharing experiences
about modern software development methodologies, enterprise
architectures, patterns, distributed computing and more!


The topics of interest include, but are not limited to:

* Java EE
* JVM-based languages (Groovy, JRuby, Scala, Clojure, …)
* JVM performance tuning
* Java Desktop applications
* Rich internet applications (Flex, JavaFX, …)
* Modern web frameworks (Wicket, Grails, JSF, …)
* OSGi
* Enterprise architecture patterns and best practices
* Domain specific languages
* Mobile computing (Android, Java ME, …)
* Distributed computing
* Cloud computing
* Software quality assurance in the Java world
– refactoring
– automated tests
– mutational test verification
– static code analysis
* Software configuration management (incl. Maven, Gradle, Ant, Ivy)
* Agile methodologies

Each lecture will be 50 minutes long and will be given in English.
Presentation slides will have to be prepared using a provided GeeCON

You are invited to submit an abstract of the proposed presentation. The
abstract should be about 250 words long and must be accompanied by a
short technical and presentational resume. The number of proposals per
